1) Always do in-depth Keyword Research

If you are trying to write content on a highly demanded topic, then first you need to do, in-depth research for the keywords you want to write. You can use a tool for keyword research, the most popular keyword researching tool is Google Keyword Planner. Try to choose high volume low competition keywords, because they are easy to rank, and you will get the high volume of traffic on your blog/website.

2) Focus on Long Tail Keyword

Always while doing research for keywords, it's easy to rank long-tail keywords as they have low competition and long-tail keywords have low search volume even if their conversion rate is higher, because they are too precise while searching. The word count in long-tail keywords are more than regular keywords. By typing these long-tail keywords, they are more specific than other keywords.

For example: "GST Software" is a short tail keyword and "GST Software for Accounting '' is a long-tail keyword.

3) Always Publish an Excellent Quality Of Content

Always try to write unique and high-quality content. Writing high-quality content can give you a high amount of traffic. Don't copy and paste from anywhere. It will penalize your site, and such content are always poor performers in google search results. Make content interesting and useful from a user perspective like you can use images, text and videos to make it more clear. You should always check your content quality on plagiarism checker before publishing any content. As quality content is the king.

When writing content or blog, always keep in mind to maintain keyword density around 2-3% of the whole content/blog, do not exceed your keyword density more than the prescribed limit. Otherwise, it will be considered as keyword stuffing.

4) Keep URL Short as Possible

Always keep your url containing your keyword so that it can rank in google search results. If the URL is shorter, then the user will be able to guess the topic on which the content is written. Don't stuff keywords in your url. Otherwise, it will impact on your ranking. Always use the lower alphabet in url.

For example
www.xyz.com/what-does-it-mean-by-off-page-seo.html (Not Correct way)
www.xyz.com/off-page-seo.html (Correct and Efficient way)

5) Always Optimize Meta Title & Description

Don't forget to include the keyword in your meta description and meta title because they are essential and play a vital role in SEO ranking. Google bots check that you have added a keyword in your meta title and meta description. Always include keywords in your title and description as bots can check what the content is all about.

Meta Description must be under 120-156 characters. Make sure to include a call to action in your meta description like Try for free, Visit now, Shop now, Learn more, Book now, Read more, Get it now.

Always make sure your meta title, description and the content of the page are on the same topic. Don't try to attract users by changing the meta description. If Google notices that you are manipulating the meta description to achieve the ctr or click. Google will penalize you, and even doing this will increase your bounce rate also.

If you have not written a meta description for your page. Google will automatically generate it.

6) Keep Use Heading Tags

Always make a habit of using proper settings, including meta tags like H1, H2, H3 .H1 can only be used once in the whole content/blog. You can use keywords in heading. Always make H1 attractive so that users can click on it by just reading the title of your content/blog. H2 can be used to create subheadings in your content. Always use Bullets to make your content look better and simple to understand.

7) Optimize Images and Multimedia

While making a high quality content, try to use visuals and multimedia like videos, images, audio, charts etc. By using such things, the user will be able to understand your content quickly and in a simple way. Use a self-created image or if you are using others image give them credit.

By the use of graphics and multimedia, it is better to understand what the content wants to tell. Ensure you optimize your multimedia while using images and charts. Use alt text in your images and graphs and use your keyword in the alt text. Rename your pictures by the keyword you want to target. Always describe the image by a small description.

8) Include Internal Links & External Links

With the help of internal linking and external linking, we can help our user to Search more articles related to the topic. Interlinking means to connect our own page in our content so that users can access it easily. Interlinking enables the user to jump from one section of our content to another part of a content/page. It's a good practice to make internal links. Always make an internal link on the keywords you want to target. But don't get used too much. You can use them where it is required.

For example: If you have a site abc.com and you are linking to abc.com itself. Then it is known as an internal link.

External links mean where we want to take the user from our page. In this case, source and destination both are different. It's another domain we are connecting by our domain. These links can be dofollow or nofollow depending on the owner's choice, which type of link he wants to give to another domain.

For example: If you have a website abc.com and you are pointing a link to xzy.com. Then it is considered an external link.

9) Check Redirects 301 or 302

Always make sure that if you are managing any website and doing its on page optimization, then its your duty to check any redirects or not? If yes then clear them, which type of redirect they are.

11) Mobile-Friendly Page

In today's modern era everyone has a mobile device. Due to this advancement, the number of mobile users has crossed the number of personal computers. So making any website mobile friendly is now essential. Most users visit websites by the mobile device and check for a solution for their problem.

Just think for a situation, you are a visitor and visiting any website which is not mobile-friendly. Then it's so difficult to view the website on mobile as you have to zoom in or zoom out, which is so frustrating. Finally, you will exit the site. So that's why any website must have to be mobile-friendly. If you have not checked it, that your website is mobile-friendly or not. You can check from this google mobile friendly tester.

12) Comments Moderation

While managing your website, you need to review each and every comment on your website, so that it cannot be filled by spam comments. Replying to comments is a great habit, it makes your visitor friendly to have a conversion on their problem regarding any topic related to your website.

First, read the comment, then approve any comment. Comment moderation allows the owner to make their site free from spam comments.
